Saddam did rid the world of one of the worlds worst tyrants. But, YOU eagerly (and proudly) went to war to reinstate the puppet Sabah of Kuwait. That war had absolutely nothing to do with making Kuwait a free country or a democracy as was claimed at the time. Full Disclosure: I served in the USMC about twelve years before you were in. But, I was young and dumb and full of... Got a handful of medals and a couple of scars as reminders. It only hurts when it's cold out. And that war had absolutely NOTHING to do with democracy or freedom as we were told by the politicians of the day. And Operation Desert Storm certainly had nothing to do with defending the USA. And neither does Operation Iraqi Fiefdom. Unless you consider the "Carter Doctrine" to be something to go to war over. Now THAT'S something to be proud of! The Carter Doctrine made the Persian Gulf a territory of the USA. But I doubt if any other country (or most people) would agree.
