The answer is... I, like the U.S. Military, am the well-wisher of freedom and liberty to all, but the champion and vindicator only of America's.
If communist, and fascist dictators murder their neighbors, or people within their country, I will find it disappointing and sad, but would never allow anyone to use the U.S. military to get involved. If you don't support military non-interventionism and neutrality in all disputes among other nations, you're disqualified from calling yourself libertarian. The simple and undeniable truth is Iraq had absolutely NOTHING to do with the Oklahoma City bombing or any of the September 11th attacks. They didn't provoke anyone to attack America, they didn't train anyone to attack America, they didn't fund any attacks against America, and they had no connection with anyone who did attack American soil or ships. Not using the U.S. military to get involved when two other nations fight (regardless of who started the fight) is not supporting tyrrany and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Iraq will never have freedom while America is there. Right now, Iraq is less free and in more daily danger than they were with Saddam in power. One of the many glaring differences between you and an actual libertarian is that we libertarians wish freedom for the people of Iraq, but won't enslave Americans to do it. We won't violate the U.S. Constitution or international law to do it. We won't tarnish the reputation of America to do it. We won't cease being a beacon of hope and liberty and start being a UN enforcer. We won't bully other nations around the world and assume that America is the world's police. We won't build empires or spread hegemony. You are not a libertarian. You are a nationalist. You are not a patriot. You are not a hero. You are not a great man. You are nothing. You violate every principle that made America great. You violate the foundation of libertarianism, and have the unmitigated gall to claim your views have always been libertarian. You point to other non-libertarians who happened to be in the party as though that means you're a libertarian. You do not support defense. You support offense. You support unprovoked attacks against those who posed no danger to America and who had no connection to any attacks against American soil or ships. Then you dishonestly call yourself a "pro-defense libertarian".
