Interesting that the founding fathers thought that is was so important to have guns in the hands of the people that they made it the second most important amendment to the consitution and not the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th amendment.
It was originally writen as the 4th Amendment. What was written as the originally 1st and 2nd were not ratified at the same time as the other 10. In fact what was suppose to be the first was never ratified. What was intended to be the second was finally ratified in 1992 as the 27th.
