Time for libertarians to admit, the NeoCons were right on Iraq

Wow!

The events of last weekend were simply amazing. It's now safe to conclude that
the War in Iraq has been the most successful Military AND Political campaign in
our entire Nation's history, even possibly eclipsing World War II.

As much as it may pain many of us to say this, the Reaganite NeoConservatives -
folks like Bill Kristol, Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer - were right all
along. Staying the course, sticking it out and helping the Iraqis to build
their Democracy seems to have been the absolute right thing to do.

The fear for the American taxpayer is that now the NeoCons may get cocky. They
may believe that since Iraq and to a lesser extent Afghanistan have been so
successful, why not try it in Iran, Syria or even Myanamar?

As tempting as that may be, the American taxpayer needs a well-deserved rest.
It's time we focused more on Katrina Relief and expanding Energy Resources here
at home.
It's time to slowly beging the withdrawl from Iraq and Afghanistan. Parades
and Celebrations on Main Streets of every city and town in America for the
victorious American troops are certainly in order.

But the American public is weary. We've had the most successful Military and
Political Campaign in history (save perhaps??? WWII). Time to pat ourselves on
the back and take a well-deserved rest.
