No. It´s not benign. Any nuke that Iran may build is a waste of money from the iranian taxpayer. But, considering recent history, it´s not a surprise that so many arahs and persians want the end Israel. And that´s a iranian, not a american or a european problem. An american intervention in the region only would lead to more problems. And it´s not the United States(That has TEN THOUSAND NUKES, enough to destroy the Earth several times and a outrageous history of country devastation) or the Europe(of a long colonial history) that should say to Iran what they should do or not.
