Actually, I usually brought the weed. One of the things that makes Dances With Wolves a pretty decent movie is the long stretches of Costner not talking :-)
Providing free copies if copyrighted material is not fair use. Thats why the Constitution has protection for intellectual property. There are a lot of geeks out there stealing copyrighted material. That doesnt make the theft right. I give away the intellectual property I create when I feel it serves my need, but I make that decision. If the studios and record companies want to allow their property to be handed about, thats their business. If they dont, that wish should be respected. Theft is one of the primary restrictions on Liberty. Dont we go around accusing the IRS of theft every year? Pretty hypocritical to then engage in that which we so vigorously oppose.
