Even in the government schools the curriculum varies from state to
state and perhaps even counties or school districts within a state.
Sure there are some national and state required courses but the
cirriculum does vary to some degree. Even a fast food chain in part
of the country might have some items on their menu that those in
other parts of the country do not. Even within the same school
district there could be variation in cirriculum. When I was in the
4th and 5th grades I attended a government school that had a
completely different system that the others in the school district.
Even the grading system was different. Rather than a student
receiving a letter grade there were 3 grades designated by a Roman
numeral I, II, or III. I being very good, II average or fair, III
failing or below average.
