So, what it comes down to is that the Chicago school members are aware that, for economics, the numerical data is always somewhat bogus, but it's the best available, so they proceed to use it with a caveat. OTOH, the Austrian school members note that the numerical data is bogus and so stop there, not wishing to be caught up in building houses of cards that they know will fall down.
