There is a 'legitimized' variation on this theme by which it is acceptable for men to breed a series of separate families by ever-younger wives who are eventually younger than his oldest children. The aggressor in the sandbox also learns a lesson. Instead of having enough pain inflicted upon him to make him think twice about trying to hurt someone else, he becomes inspired to BE that authoritarian telling other people what they can and cannot do.
