Hello Folks:
As you may or may not know, I am running in year 2006 for the Florida State
House of Representatives as a No Party Affiliation candidate with a
Libertarian political philosophy. (Note: For the reasons why I chose to run
as No Party Affiliation, please read the
http://www.geocities.com/fperez2006/why_npa_eng.html hyperlink.)
My campaign is well under way with me going house-to-house distributing my
campaign literature throughout Florida House District 33 on the weekends.
This past Saturday, 2/18/06, I distributed another 200 campaign literature
packets.
Each campaign literature packet that I distribute consists of the following:
1) A Calendar with each month stating a different Libertarian position in my
platform. Each month also has the following: (a) "Elect Franklin Perez for
Florida State House (District 33), (b) "Libertarian Minded and Independent!
Not Beholden to Party Politics!", (c) E-mail address, (d) Campaign website
address, (c) Telephone, and (d) Mailing address.
2) A two-page letter introducing myself and explaining how one may help me
with my campaign.
3) A Voter Registration Card for someone to mail.
4) A 3" X 11.5" bumper sticker with the following on it: (a) "Elect Franklin
Perez State House", (b) "Libertarian Minded! No Party Politics!", and (c) my
campaign website.
My goal is to distribute 200 Campaign literature packets every weekend.
(Note: If I did not have to work on the weekdays, I'd be distributing EVERY
day.)
I am working VERY hard and this is VERY time consuming, but its is something
I really want to do. It takes lots of time to print out the 200 two-page
letters and 200 12-page calendars EVEN using the Quick Print option on my
Lexmark x6170. Due to costs and lack of monetary contribution - I've only
had THREE individuals contribute monetarily so far - I have no choice but to
be cost-conscious on my campaign. The good thing is that I have found an
economical way of using refill kits on my already used in cartidges, thus
saving myself HUNDREDS of dollars every month.
My progess so far in distributing may campaign literature packets is as
follows:
1) Last week of December 2005: 64 Campaign Literature packets distributed in
the subdivision I live, Carrigan Woods. Carrigan Woods lies close to Oviedo,
Florida.
2) January 8, 2006: 200 Campaign literature packets distributed to
households outside but close to the Carrigan Woods and Stillwater
subdivisions. These houses lie close Oviedo, Florida.
3) January 14, 2006: 200 Campaign literature packets distributed within the
Stillwater subdivision. These houses reside close to Oviedo, Florida.
4) January 21, 2006: 200 Campaign literature packets distributed within (a)
Riverwind Apartments, (b) Stillwater Subdivision, and (c) houses around
Chapman Road. These houses reside close to Oviedo, Florida.
5) January 29, 2006: 100 Campaign literature packets distributed within the
Christmas, Florida area.
6) February 11, 2006: 100 Campaign literature packets distributed within the
Christmas, Florida area.
7) February 18, 2006: 200 Campaign literature packets distributed within the
Christmas, Florida area.
This coming weekend, on February 25, 2006, I plan to distribute another 200
Campaign literature packets either in Bithlo, Florida or in the vicinity of
Oviedo, Florida.
James Coakley, a former member of the Libertarian Party of Florida, is
helping me out by distributing my Campaign literature packets within the
Winter Springs area that is in Florida House District 33.
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP JAMES COAKLEY!
