If you factor in American laws against consensual crimes, that
are results of our beloved Jesus religion, it is easily far
greater than 1000 times. That's not to mention all the other
regulation on capitalism that has roots in Puritan
anti-materialism.

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

Are you sure it's exactly 1000 times? I ran the numbers three
times and
kept coming up with 936.4.

I'd love to know how a person could make that sort of a
comparison, and
come up with any kind of a number.

Oh, I get it. It's not a literal three orders of magnitude, just
a
figure of speech, expressing an opinion. And from the looks of
it, not
an opinion subject to empirical testing.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that the Social Security system is
much
more dangerous to the future of this country than either of those
two
groups. I'm quite certain its done me more harm, personally.

I could quote you numbers, had I my "statement of account" from
the
Social Security administration handy. Christian Fundamentalists
and
Muslim Extremists have pretty much ignored me, though the do give
me the
willies when I think of them too much. Best I just ignore them
back.

So I'm having a tough time being critical of either group, or
taking
others' criticisms of them seriously.

YMMV. -Eric
