Eric,
Then I was NOT preaching to the choir because you DO think
terrorism is a greater threat to our freedom than the drug war.
You are incorrect by huge magnitudes.
What are your "Islamo-Fascists" doing to legalizers over there? I
have not read the book. Tell me what it says regarding your
point. It sounds like the drug war instead of terrorism. I
suppose you could be talking about an overlapping of the two, but
either way it does not prove your claim that terrorism is a
greater evil than the drug war. If you really want to overlap the
two, then do it correctly; by explaining how the drug war
sponsors and causes so much terrorism.
You seem to completely misunderstand the basics of drug-war
induced danger. Or maybe you had not thought of the drug war
being anything more than the example you gave. The chances of you
experiencing any of the following harms as a direct result of the
drug war are many magnitudes greater than the chances of you
experiencing any harm from terrorism:
Getting robbed/mugged/attacked/killed by an addict on the street;
Getting robbed/mugged/attacked/killed by police on the street;
Getting sent to jail;
Getting robbed/mugged/attacked/killed in jail;
Losing your job;
Losing your house;
Losing your car;
Losing your land;
Losing your money;
Losing your funding/scholarship/reputation;
Losing your friends;
Losing your kids;
Losing your family;
Losing many of your civil rights;
Being set up;
Etc.
This happens to many people every single day. And that's just in
America. Drug war victims outnumber terrorism victims by millions
to one.

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

Because in the grand sheme of things, it is a greater evil.
Why are you not alarmed about what Islamo-Fascists are doing to
drug
legalizers over in Holland, Denmark and other tolerant Western
European countries?
Read the Bruce Bawer book!!
And honestly, I'm not particularly scared of marijuana-smoking
dude
driving his beat up ole' van in me and a crowd of people in a
city
center shouting "Raise the Doobies!!"
But the thought of a Radical Muslim driving his SUV into me at a
college campus shouting "Allah Akbar", does give me the heebie
geebies, especially most recently.
