First, a clarification. This is not about the views of the people on it, but their understanding of what the oath/pledge/credo/whatnot says. So, for the list, I don't actually care what a libertarian's views are on what a libertarian is, just on what the oath/pledge/credo/whatnot means (if anything) and what ought to be done about the requirement (if anything). For that matter, the person doesn't even have to be a libertarian to make the list. I'd love to put Milton Friedman or Walter Williams on it. (Looks like Carl Milsted, Jr. goes on, based on this: <http://www.freemarketnews.com/Analysis/34/4369/2006-04-03.asp?wid=34&nid=4369>) Anyone who seeks to be on the LP presidential ticket or hold an LNC position (or get a campaign contribution from me) is going to be on it, if only as an abstainer. If they want my support, they're going to have to be in favor of scrapping it. The purpose is to have a list, so that when someone claims the o/p/c/w clearly means such-and-so, I or anyone else can say, "That view is far from unanimous, so even if it does mean what you say, it's far from clear", and direct them to the list. (And add them to it.) The list is at <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LOP-General/files/OathMeaningHolders.txt> > --- In [email protected], "Paul" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: [snipped] > > I am not an anarchist. I should also ask him if he would support a resolution at the national convention to reword the o/p/c/w so that meaning is clear. For that matter, how about you? NBKP? -Eric -- Eric S.
