An additional point - LtCol Kwiatkowski was a professor at the American
Military University (http://www.apus.edu/amu) for three or so years. I
regret never having the opportunity to take one of her courses (earned my
AA and am pursuing a BA via AMU). AMU's student body is mostly made up of
active duty military, veterans and foreign affairs types from DoD, the
Department of State, and Homeland Security among other government
agencies. Hopefully her libertarian perspective influenced a few of those
minds she encountered through her courses.
