Maybe I will. First, a look at the archives, to find out if "fiery" means "[pleasuring yourself] in public". That Tom is there is a point in the YG's favor, but maybe he's there despite the nature of the YG, rather than because of it. His posts are almost always a good use of my time, often an excellent one. But he's not the only one there. I really don't have time for arguments about "is x libertarian?", where "x" is a historical figure, a bad/imperfect policy/law which is clearly better than the status quo, or a debating opponent in the list. Ditto for top-posting, messages which boil down to "you are a poo-poo head and here's why", messages which omit the "and here's why" part (which are shorter but less informative -- a good thing on both counts, come to think of it), messages which argue definitions (definitions aren't argued, they're, well, defined, and then you move on to something productive, if you're capable), messages whose subject lines needed updating a week ago when the topic changed, and such. These are not messages suitable for grownups, a category into which I have been dragged into, despite posting far too many messages like the types listed above over the years. If the Libertarian Republican YG is like this one, joining will mean ignoring the majority of the messages. -Eric P.S. To whom it may concern: There's a subject line convention that's been around for some time which might help make this YG more usable. See the subject line of this message for an example. -ESH -- Eric S.
