Quoth Paul Ireland: > Harry Browne NEVER said he wanted to get rid of government entirely. > That is absolutely false. He said he wanted to REDUCE government to > only what was specifically enumerated in the U.S. Constitution.
Toward the end of his life -- in his post-1994 Libertarian Party phase -- he left the question open while strongly hinting that he wanted to get rid of government entirely (I posted his quote earlier on tariffs in which he explicitly alludes to the possibility). He never pretended that reducing the US government to its constitutional role was anything more than a starting point for where he really wanted to go. Before he decided to affiliate with the LP and run for the presidency, he was more explicitly anarchist. I can provide direct quotes and references if you like, but it might make more sense for you to actually learn a little about Harry Browne before pretending that your views are in any way representative of his.
