I don't know of anything good in Texas. As far as how I'd handle things, I'd handle them pretty much the way they are being handled right now. If you're bringing over 10 cases of wine, the presumption is they are not for your personal consumption. If you have them shipped one case at a time, you might get them in without a tariff.
Whether or not you paid European sales tax is irrelevant. Also, what kind of exotic spirits were you talking about?
