A number of organizations exist for the explicit and express purpose
of ensuring that Israel "holds political influence in America," and
their efforts pay off in the form of, among other things, billions of
dollars in US foreign aid to, or on behalf of, Israel each and every
year. The American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee does not employ
150 people (including six registered lobbyists who visit each and
every member of the US congress at least once per session, and key
members much more often), and spend $15 million per year, for the
purpose of not "holding political influence in America."
Whether the political influence that Israel holds in America is
disproportionate or damaging is another question entirely, but denying
that Israel holds political influence in America at all is at variance
with the known facts.
