Certainly we need to take advantage of life-changing events.
However, the catastrophic decline of the government schools
in every area except creating docile slaves should certainly
be used to help abolish them.

For life and liberty,

You want to know the "life changing event" which caused me to become a
libertarian, Vic? (Well, I'll tell you anyhow! :-) ) My daughter was
reading a Sesame Street book to me while we were watching a PBS TV show
(don't remember which one, but it was probably one of those BBC
produced shows from back in the day when the United State government -
through PBS was more heavily subsidizing the BBC - but I digress) and
it hit me that (besides subsidizing the BBC) the United State
government was also subsidizing one of the largest, most successful
corporate marketing enterprises in US history - think about it, 1 hour
(or more!) a day of free targeted advertising courtesy (largely) of the
United State government. I knew about social security and farm
subsidies and the Chrysler bailout and all the rest, but it was Big
Bird that really turned my head.

"Life changing events" happen every day in people's lives; we need to
be there with suggestions when they do. Their events and our
suggestions will tend to accumulate to "critical mass" - and the
wonderful thing about it all is that "critical mass" is reached in
different ways and in different times for every individual.
