Vic,
All religions have their stupid parts. That doesn't make all of
them or their believers stupid or killers. To answer your
question, doubting the existence of similar stupid teachings in
the Christian religion, go re-read jewish_from_brooklyn's post
just earlier with the subject line: Psalm 18:37-44: "Kill your
enemies" (King James Version). Thar's plenty more where that came
from: the bible.

{American jurors have complete Constitutional authority to vote
"not guilty" based on nothing more than a disagreement with the
case, no matter the evidence - despite the judge's instructions.
There is absolutely no obligation to vote "guilty" to arrive at a
unanimous verdict. Get on a jury, stand your ground, and fulfill
its other main purpose: to counteract abusive government and
unjust lawsuits.

"So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the
necks
until when you have overcome them"
"And (as for) the man who steals and the woman who steals, cut
off their
hands as a punishment for what they have earned, an exemplary
punishment
from Allah; and Allah is Mighty, Wise"
I dont remember the church today teaching people should have
their heads or
arms and feet cut off. do you?
