The merit of patriotism is fickle, when your country's cause is
deemed just the patriot is exaulted, when your country's actions are
in question the patriot is admonished.

The word patriot is still engraved in many of our minds as a
desirable title, but has time begun to change this as we slowly move
towards an apretiation of universal truth over relative?

As time goes on, more and more of us begin to recognize that those
who are not of our country still have rights, still have hopes and
dreams and are too human beings.

Blind patriotism is no virtue in my eyes, but enlightened patriotism
still has a place in my view.
