This has been my own belief for years.  I think that Badnarik's last minute
media buy the days before the election help to confirm this.  He suddenly
was covered by the FOX news and MSNBC.  His mistake was to wait to the last
minute to run TV ads.

It is counterproductive for us to whine about media blackouts (or "Browne
outs") when we refuse to recognize the power of bought media.  Bought media
begats free media every time.

And, with the exception of obscure publications, media endorsements ONLY go
to those that make media buys, though making a media buy is certainly no
guarantee of an endorsement.

A part of this is probably because news reporters and editors do read their
own publications.  I don't think they are consciously ignoring us and other
minor candidates.  But they become more aware of us when we are aware of
them.

That said, I do like the "spin" the Texas person said of the corruption of
major candidates versus underfunded the Libertarian candidate.
