LIBERTARIANS NOMINATE ASSEMBLY CANDIDATES

Party Targets Four Districts In Manhattan, One In Bronx

The Manhattan Libertarian Party has endorsed five candidates for State Assembly
in the November election. They are Jim Lesczynski (64th A.D.), Michael Fandal
(65th A.D.) Nic Leobold (66th A.D.), Cevin Soling (74th A.D.), all in
Manhattan, and Sam Sloan (77th A.D.) in the Bronx. Lesczynski, Leobold, and
Sloan are long-time Libertarian activists. Soling, a film producer, is best
known as writer and producer of "The War On The War On Drugs." Fandal is a
retired police officer.

"These are five dedicated Libertarians who will add tremendous strength to the
statewide ticket," says Manhattan Libertarian Party chairman Joseph Dobrian.

"I look forward to holding Sheldon Silver's feet to the fire," says Lesczynski,
who is challenging the Assembly Speaker, "especially since our local
Republicans are too weak or cowardly to even run a candidate in this district."

"If people continue to vote for the Democrats and Republicans," says Leobold,
"they're going to get more of the same, because those two parties have no
intention of changing the policies which are profiting them so handsomely.
Voting Libertarian is the only vote that's not a wasted vote, because only the
LP wants to legalize freedom and self-ownership."

The Libertarian Party is a party of principle, holding that all individuals
have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the
right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly
interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they
choose. For more information about the Libertarian party, go to
