Jon,

You make a good point below, and that point may be a big factor in the
event. The delegates did not have convenient access to the planks they were
asked to roll forward into the next platform. Let that be a lesson-learned
for the next Convention. Notice the binders we were given had a section for
the Platform, but that section was empty.

Eric's remarks appear to be a deliberate attempt to spread disinformation .
as usual. The RLC isn't even playing in the same sandbox as the LP. The
RLC's mission within the liberty-movement is to educate Republicans as to
why it's important to observe the Constitution, and to support limits on the
power of politicians. I applaud that mission of the RLC, and pray they can
retain their libertarian purity. The RLC's target audience is incumbent
Republicans, and the LP's target audience is the "politically homeless" .
like the name of an OPH booth. For the most part, these two fine
organizations are not even competing in the same market niche.

Nonsense from someone who wasn't at the Convention. I was. Most of the
platform was rejected because copies weren't printed and distributed to
the attendees. They voted for the things presented to them and rejected
the things that weren't. It's as simple as that. Means nothing except
that next convention the platform should be printed and included in the
convention package.
