While I am not as hot on my speech as Scott Horton is, you will get the general sense of where this member of the LNC stands. Please email your comments to me directly as my new responsibilities do not allow me any time to read the news groups. Refrain from insulting comments about cross posting or self promotion. I didn't see very many willing to invest the time or money into keeping the LP libertarian. When I warned that the LRC was a serious contender, few people bothered to show up in Portland let alone took positions of responsibility within the LNC. (If I sound a bit bitter, you better believe it. Several long time libertarian friends distance themselves from me for political reasons only to become my new best friends after I won the seat.) Also, let's not turn this into jihad/death match with the reformers. They are entitled to their opinions and quite frankly they organized themselves and used blogs effectively for the past year and half while everyone else stormed off after the Exit Plan Tragedy. Further, I intend on having good working relationships with my fellow LNC members. Some of them, while timid in their approach to libertarianism, are hard working, morally sound people with good intentions. We just disagree. The question is now what should be done and what are the steps needed to make those changes so we can restore principle to the Party.
