Jon, it is also not a secret that United State (and local) law 
enforcement agencies recruit U.S. citizens (especially those with a 
criminal background) to create (or further) criminal conspiracies - 
some of a political (strictly defined) nature.

There is no doubt that there are many "dark souls" in the United 
State.
