And Zionists have a right to this land because of? Ancient Biblical
history? Descendants of the Biblical Jews may have a claim to somew of the
land, but so would the descendants of the Phillistines (in English, the
Palestinians).

The Native Americans didn't claim a western style land "ownership", but
still owned their land. But they did do a "western" (and inter-cultural)
style land ownership thing called DEFENDING their land. The fact they had
no county clerk issued deed is irrelevant. But you are right in the sense
that Native Americans found the concept of individual land ownership to be
unimaginable, like owning "air".

Most Muslim countries do recognize land ownership, with a quirk. In many
Muslim countries you may own property as long as you are physically using
it. The Mosque will hold unused property in trust for future generations.
This is why there are few, if any, large land owners (other than the Mosque)
in Muslim countries. This is also why it is rare for entire families to
take the Hajj together (and explains a dependence on clans), as a family
would not want to leave for a length of time only to find new inhabitants of
their home upon their return.

Like it or not, it IS land ownership, though different from the Anglo model
used in MOST of the USA (Louisiana uses a Franco land ownership model).
There are several other models of land ownership used in various parts of
the world. None is perfect, though I am most comfortable with the common
one used here.
