I disagree with Dr. Milsted and Mr. Holtz on a number of issues, but have debated those issues cordially with both of them. Both of them would readily agree that they are not "purists," and whether or not one regards them as "libertarians" is a subjective matter (unless Mr. Ireland has managed to hector the guys at Oxford and Webster's into cutting the number and variety of definitions of that word down to the ones he prefers). Interestingly, while Dr. Milsted and Mr. Holtz don't agree on everything, they agree on the one thing that has been my hobbyhorse lately -- I disagree with them, and as it happens, quoted them both in my recent article on the "calculation problem" as applied to political compromise.
