Retail politics dominated last week - meeting voters at the Coconino County Fair occupied the long weekend. Despite the Saturday afternoon hailstorm, a great time was had by all, and I appreciated hearing from several folks who had seen our <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/media-press/advertising/default.php> TV ads. I was surprised by the volume and vehemence of people who just wanted to tell the Libertarians how disgusted they are by performance and behavior of the other parties. We'll get some photos from the fair posted on both my Web <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/media-press/photo_gallery.php> site's photo gallery and the county party's Web site in the next few days.
I made it four days without a single deep-fried Twinkie, deep-fried Snickers, or deep-fried Oreo, but my willpower collapsed in the face of kettle corn. Lots of good media <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/media-press/news_coverage.php> coverage in the past week, including the publication of last <http://www.schlosserforcongress.com/media-press/op-ed/default.php> week's op-ed column in a couple of places and a nice <http://www.trinity.edu/departments/alumni_relations/profiles/0609_david_sch losser.htm> profile on the Trinity alumni Web site. Tomorrow morning, I'll be a guest on the Jim Cates Show <http://www.jimcates.com/> , northeast Kansas' most popular radio call-in program. Most attention remains focused on the five Democrats in their wide-open primary, which concludes next Tuesday, so I'm looking forward to having that ballot set and earning the same kind of attention as my opponents. I'm giving a speech to the Phoenix chapter of the Public Relations Society of America on Wednesday. I'll be in Paulden, Arizona for a candidate forum on Thursday night, and at the Flagstaff Leadership Program retreat this weekend. Please continue using the "comments" feature of the blogs and news sites to direct people to my Web site - the new traffic is noticeable and diverse. I'm still compiling endorsements - I even picked up one from an Internet publisher - so don't hesitate to send one along.
