No. I'm not a member of the RLC. But you haven't yet explained why the state
of our current account balance (or trade deficit) is a bad thing. It may
indicate that something is wrong, or it may not. If something falls on to
your head, do you run around and yell that the sky is falling? They aren't
going to answer because they know that the current account balance could be
far in the negative even if the other indicators showed a healthy economy
(particularly the savings rates, budget deficits, and national debt.) Why
not ask them how we can continue to support candidates who willingly
mortgage the future of our children and grandchildren in order to maintain
"electability" today?

"You are right that it's large because of deficti spending and
inflationary monetary policies, but if it were large and our monetary
policies were fine and our deficit spending were at zero, it would not
  mean a thing."

And if the Queen had balls, she'd be the King.

  Don't care whether "we're not Democrats" or not...as I said, I'd argue
that the U.S.'s current account balance is very much out of
whack because of the government's deficit spending and inflationary
  monetary policies.

Still waiting to hear from some RLC "libertarian" to justify this
nonsense...(or are you an RLC member, Cory? If so, thanks for the
  response.)

  Guns and Dope,
  John
