It can be worth while to engage people like this, who seem to have come 
a long way in our direction, and may come further. They may not be 
susceptible to correction, but Cornell impressed me as a reasonable guy, 
so I tried it. The key is to base discussion on historical evidence. If 
we can stick to the evidence, agreement is possible.
