The Future of Freedom at the Ballot Box
by Mike Renzulli

"I think it's time for Libertarians to face reality. Unless the Libertarian
Party and its state affiliates work to pass legislation that makes it easier
to enact libertarian ideas or elect our party's candidates, it will be
resigned to running candidates who campaign on issues from a libertarian
perspective, with much the same limited success it gets now. This is not to
say that we should not aspire to win elections. But I think the only
realistic role Libertarians should play in American politics is as a party
fielding candidates who campaign on issues along libertarian lines, while
seeking out like-minded groups to make alliances with to further freedom."
