Why no attention paid to the ethnic cleansing of Sub-Saharan
Africans by Northern African Muslims in the Sudan? Talk about
racism.

The post forwarded was from a group of people that discuss the genocide and
ethnic cleansing in Samaria and Judea. They generally don't comment on
atrocities elsewhere. Just as this list is for discussion of libertarianism
and Libertarian politics, we don't generally discuss what happens within
say, the Green Party.

So, put down the bong or take some ritalin (or whatever you do to stay
focused) and try to stay on topic.

Eric:
The United States, and George Bush, have blood on their hands for
not lifting a finger to help the non-Muslim Sudanese. This is a
shameful moment in our US foreign policy, almost as bad as when
Jimmy Carter sat back and DID NOTHING to help the 2 million
Cambodians being slaughtered by Pol Pot or Clinton doing nothing
about the slaughter of the Tutsis at the hands of the Hootoos in
Ruwanda in the 1990s. Shameful.

SRL:
In that case, the US foreign policy has been shameful since the founding.
Indeed, President Jefferson allowed the despot Napoleon to ravage most of
Europe. As a matter of fact, one could say that the US helped to bankroll
this despot by offering to buy New Orleans and ending up spending twice as
much to buy the entire Napoleonic claim in North America (mainly the western
watershed of the Mississippi River).

The founders even opposed the meddling in the affairs of other nations.
Maybe this has something to do with the Constitutional prohibition on
standing armies.

Eric:
We'll all look back at this years from now and say that Bush's
inaction in the Sudan to stop the Muslim genocide against Non-Muslim
Africans was his biggest failure as President.
*****
SRL:
OTOH, we might look at this as a lesson and a motivation to return to the US
Constitution and it's protections.

I'm not even going to get into a circle jerk conversation about Bush's
BIGGEST failure as President.
