Actually, Eric, labels are worthless. Any party can co-opt the libertarian monicker to trick someone into thinking they're getting one thing when in fact they're getting another. I myself was part of a local organization that was trying to oust our school board in the following election. Our "lower spending, lower taxes" slogan was hijacked by the (Republican) incumbents who went on to win the election and turn an outrageous school tax into an obscene one.
