> Why do you believe that that the LP would be in "power" today had >what you suggested been (d)one in '81?
I don't believe it, I see it. I need to admit we might not be in power, but in that mode, The People today who are fed up about the sellout of the Demos and the Traitors in both parties would have an easy way to see who they should vote for by now. People in grass roots organisations know and watch those in positions of power. When you send your money to the top, nothing happens. Part due to the guys at the top being unsupervised, part to the fact that The People are lazy, and too far away to remove leaders. The example is clear in Az. where gun legislation is going our way. This happened with less than 300 people working toward the goal of a stronger right to carry attitude across the board. the same thing can happen in any state except a super state like Ny. or Ca. where it might take a 1000 active people. Stieger's law states a gov. organisation spends 95% of its money on staying in position. There is no finer example than that of the LP or the NRA. (Fmr. Congressman Sam Stieger) Top-Down organisations don't have to be evil by intent, their design guarantees it. Closing the office at National is a priority. Only a post office box and a website should remain, with every inquiry redirected to the County closest to the person making contact. If one wants Liberty, why would you be at more than arm's length from those who are supposed to serve you? I assume you don't want to be Governed, but instead, Represented. Set up a government, and you will be governed. (and not by your will) Today we have the technology to remove 16 out of the 18 things the Constitution allows government to do, and those other 2 can be managed by the States almost directly. Congress could again meet about a month or less each year.
