I am looking for a few volunteers to discuss the proposed $2.3 billion dollar tax-payer funded loan to DM&E Railroad to expand their railway between Wyoming and Minnesota in order to haul coal. The proposed rail way would pose significant hazardous risks to the communities it will run through. In simple terms, this is a pork barrel bill that was added to the Transportation Equity Act of 2005. This bill was brought to Congress by a one-time lobbyist, now Senator Thune of SD, home base for DM&E. Are you familiar with this proposed loan at all? I am asking on the behalf of Track the Truth, who is sponsoring a letter writing campaign to members of Congress to request them to STOP this loan from going forward. Specifically, I am contacting folks just like you in Indiana and writing letters on their behalf to Representative Pence to ask him to put a stop to this outrageous pork barrel spending that will only further cripple our economy should DM&E not repay the loan. How I do this is very simple, I ask a few questions, type up a letter and send it to you for your approval. Once you receive and approve the letter, the only thing we ask is that you sign it and mail it to Representative Pence in the stamped envelope we provide.
