Thanks for actually thinking, unlike most Americans! I will quote my uncle,
who went down with the aircraft carrier Lipscomb Bay at the age of 17. He
wrote, shortly before his death, "God must give us a special dispensation for
the terrible things that we must do." Those who have been there, and a few
other thinking people, will understand what those words mean and imply.
