The newsmedia hype against Islam didn't start until relatively recent times. It
was basically a non-issue during the 1950s and 1960s.
McCarthy was the big story of the 1950s and Vietnam was the big story of the
1960s. The truth is that we never heard reports of an "Islamic threat" until
the early-to-mid 1970s. It was around that time that the newsmedia started to
look more and more like an organ of propaganda and less and less like an
impartial conveyer of information. I can still remember the 1972 Munich
Olympics. The 1972 Munich disaster was a newsmedia spectacle, it was handled
like a staged media event, so it could have been an early "false flag" attack
that was carried out by the State of Israel against its own athletes, with the
intention of generating public hostility against the Palestinians.
