Chris, using your logic we could state that the "War on Drugs" is not

a reality because nobody wants to deny access to LEGAL drugs.




The war on immigration is already a war on Americans. Increased scrutiny of 
documents at the Mexican border inconveniences citizens much more than it stops 
"illegals" from coming in. And mistakes will be made. In those jurisdictions 
where jobs and housing are denied to illegals, some citizens will erroneously 
be branded illegal, possibly Chris, and then just try getting the wrong info 
corrected. And then there was the story of the citizen, born in the US, who was 
erroneously taken into custody and threatened with deportation "back" to 
Russia, where he had never been.
