Chris, using your logic we could state that the "War on Drugs" is not
a reality because nobody wants to deny access to LEGAL drugs.
The war on immigration is already a war on Americans. Increased scrutiny of
documents at the Mexican border inconveniences citizens much more than it stops
"illegals" from coming in. And mistakes will be made. In those jurisdictions
where jobs and housing are denied to illegals, some citizens will erroneously
be branded illegal, possibly Chris, and then just try getting the wrong info
corrected. And then there was the story of the citizen, born in the US, who was
erroneously taken into custody and threatened with deportation "back" to
Russia, where he had never been.
