I hope the rest of you are sharing your thoughts with folks who are
republicrats and such, I would never want to be critical of people who think a
lot like I do, but we could use a few more converts...I know it sounds
religious and crusadish, but just do it every so often...I find that when I
describe my Libertarian thinking to people who aren't, they almost always agree
with me (but of course don't want to "waste" their vote on a party that always
loses)...
Excuse me, but the whole 2-party system is rigged, literally, by those who pull
the strings (TPTB) so what have we got to lose?!?!?!.........

While Saddam initiated the Iraq-Iraq War, he soon realized he could not win and
tried to negotiate an end to it. However, the Iranian clerics decided they
wanted to continue the war in hope that they could conquer Iraq. So Iran's
clerics were responsible for at least as much killing as Saddam. They could
have ended it much sooner.

The US proxy war by Iraq against Iran killed upwards of a million
people. If a similar percentage of the USA had been killed in such a
proxy war, the US casualty rate would be closer to 4 million. The US
continues to attack Iranian interests regularly, has built up military
forces on two borders with Iran, and works to prevent Iran selling it's
oil in Euros. If Iran was building up military forces in Mexico and
Canada, you would be highly concerned and would have no problems with
any measure the US would take to remove those forces from both the
northern and souther borders. The relatives of the 4 million people
killed would support almost any aggressive action.

If I was Iran, I would certainly want some more deterrents at the very
least to make the USA think twice about their aggressive stand against
every interest of Iran. I would also be as interested in getting rid or
the clerics as I am about getting rid of corporate influence in US
government.
