Bob conveniently neglects to mention that Switzerland is not in the habit of stealing land from neighboring countries on a daily basis. Israel, OTOH, doesn't even recognize the people from whom they are stealing. Hence, war is "imposed" upon them. Israel refuses to recognize the humanity of the residents of Samaria or Judea, except those of a certain folk religion. Simply granting the right to vote (in a so-called democracy) to the residents of these two areas would undoubtedly go a long way toward making them "advanced and civilized people".
