"Ron Paul deviates from majority libertarian views in...abortion."
I'm not sure about that. Since he doesn't want to control other's abortions (not the job of fed gov), he doesn't technically deviate from libertarianism. Just feeling that something is wrong is not necessarily non-libertarian. I think most libertarians feel (like me) that drug addiction is wrong, but do not want to control other's addictions. But please note that I am agreeing with your overall point. --------------------------------- Yes, there's quite a lot of subjectivity in something like this. And as someone noted earlier, this compares the candidates with Ron Paul, not majority libertarian opinion. Ron Paul deviates from majority libertarian views in several areas, including immigration and abortion. But still, as an LP member, I'm pleased to see Bob Barr score very close to Ron Paul, who, while not perfect, is about as libertarian as someone can be and still get TV airtime. Barr and Root have a good enough combination of clout and charisma to possibly get more airtime for us.
