MODERATOR'S NOTE: I'm note sure why Jane choose to use the phrase "DUHHH?!?!?!!?!" after her statement that "abortion should be left to the states".
Why should ANY Government have a right to regulate abortion? Why should ANY Government have a right to regulate ANYTHING? Why should ANY Government have a right to EXIST? Since there are so many unanswered questions the phrase "DUHHH?!?!?!!?!" just doesn't apply here. ---Sasan ------------------------------------------------------------ Abortion should be left to the states, should not be a federal issue, and it is none of federal business...they have only two purposes, to protect individual rights and secure national defense...DUHHH?!?!?!!?! And as someone noted earlier, this compares the candidates with Ron Paul, not majority libertarian opinion. Ron Paul deviates from majority libertarian views in several areas, including immigration and abortion. But still, as an LP member, I'm pleased to see Bob Barr score very close to Ron Paul, who, while not perfect, is about as libertarian as someone can be and still get TV airtime. Barr and Root have a good enough combination of clout and charisma to possibly get more airtime for us. Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin tie for first with 88 out of a possible 99 score. Nader gets 26, McCain 25, McKinney 20, and Obama 17. ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _ It is actually easy to get a "high" score when the scorers misrepresent your positions to be more libertarian than they actually have been.
