I am responding to your statement that "central planning" for the defense of rights is a bad idea. Through the courts, we're NOT doing "central planning" but rather examining events as they arise. I suppose you can plan to examine events as they arise. However, for me planning involves making decisions beforehand, not as you go. You're the one who threw in "(including our knowledge of them and the costs of their enforcement)" not me. You made a valid point, in that we have to make those determinations; nonetheless, I only claimed natural rights don't change.
