hello i am a new member, this is my first post. i am glad i found this group.
it compelled me to start a group myself. the group i started is my response to the lack of air time the libertarian party gets on the news, and other places in the media. i have found it difficult to deal with the people that are brainwashed and or closed minded. to the point to where i am afraid i am doing the cause more harm than good. the group is small and i have lost a few members. i am ok with that. i did get some information about freedom force from a member and have gotten some great education from that site. (freedom-force.org) i had no idea how brainwashed i myself was. the development my own group showed me. turns out my democratic way of moderation for the group showed me it was wrong before i learned the difference between collectivism and individualism. so it is set up for the members to be individualists and the good news is the members voted to be individualist, perhaps with out even knowing they are individualists. at least i will like to think it is natural for people to be individualists, and that it is propaganda that turns (tricks) people into becoming collectivists. i don't expect to teach anyone here, i joined to learn. however i just had to share my experience creating my own yahoo group. hoping that sharing my experience will give the members here just a bit of boost , or show it appears to me there just might be hope for this country after all. i am voting a libertarian ticket. allow me to share one of my posts on my group. Angel wrote, "until the alternative parties are as big or known, there is little chance." and she is correct. joe thinks: when people learn there is another choice, and then enlighten other people by getting the word out to people they know, more and more people consider the other party. then the party grows. a vote is an official, legal, indication of who or what the voter wants, not a block. anything less than a vote for who or what party the voter wants in office, is surrender at least. and a lie at best. perjury really. that is my opinion, as well as many other knowledgeable people. lets examine the possible ways to inform the people of the better choice. i think the biggest chance this country is with the youth of this voter base. good job on the group here. thank you for your activism. joe
