to make that argument you would really need to 1) understand the reasons it was created by the founders, 2) and explain why they are now wrong
I doubt most people who have your opinion can do 1) let alone 2). What we actually need is the end of winner take all single member districts. I think the us constitution may require those for congress. We could have a parliamentary style election in states, where voters vote statewide for party slates. I think we need referenda on the ballot to change to that. That would mean viable third parties, as a state could elect 30% from party A, 25% from B, 20% from C, etc. If you combined that with a return to Senators being selected by state legislatures,we could end the 2 party monopoly.
