Hello:
I tend to agree with James Coakley on this one. I have no faith in either of the two major parties. As explained in the http://www.geocities.com/fperez_2008/why_npa_eng.html hyperlink: My political philosophy as a Libertarian means that I believe in a minimalist form of government as follows: Economic System: Capitalism, where the government institutes the principle that it may not abridge the the freedom of production and trade. Freedom to pursue one's own happiness in the social arena as long as your actions do not violate the rights of others. Currently, the Republican Party is primarily controlled by "conservatives," and the Democratic Party is controlled by the "liberal" ideology. "The conservatives want freedom to act in the material realm; they tend to oppose government control of production, of industry, of trade, of business, of physical goods, of material wealth. But they advocate government control of man's spirit, i.e., man's consciousness; they advocate the State's right to impose censorship, to determine moral values, to create and enforce a governmental establishment of morality, to rule the intellect. The liberals want freedom to act in the spiritual realm; they oppose censorship, they oppose government control of ideas, of the arts, of the press, of education (note their concern with 'academic freedom'). But they advocate government control of material production of business, of employment, of wages, of profits, of all physical property - they advocate it all the way down to total expropriation."[8] So, I will not run as a Republican because Republicans "advocate government control of man's spirit, i.e., man's consciousness; they advocate the State's right to impose censorship, to determine moral values, to create and enforce a governmental establishment of morality, to rule the intellect." Republicans wish to infringe on an individual's right to pursue his/her own happiness. I will not run as a Democrat because Democrats "advocate government control of material production of business, of employment, of wages, of profits, of all physical property - they advocate it all the way down to total expropriation." Democrats are anti-capitalist. The only political party that is most closely allied with my political beliefs of a minimalist government is the Libertarian Party, which advocates both the Capitalist system of economics and the rights of an individual to pursue his/her own happiness. I have forward this e-mail to all the libertarian groups I belong in. Please don't send me anymore E-mails because I know you only represent the wealthy lobbyists. This debate is BULLSHIT and no matter which one of your side wins, in the end we the people get screwed. Sincerely, James Coakley Date: Tue, 18 Aug 2009 19:46:32 +0000 From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: Did you know... ...Democrats think you're stupid. Why else do Democrats think you are unable to choose what's best for you? If you have not already heard, Democrats have said they know better than you when it comes to healthcare. Don't believe me? Just ask Democrat Eric Massa (D-Pelosi) who said at an ultra-liberal gathering: "I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I am doing is going to be helpful." So much for a representative democracy. If Democrats are so sure they know what's best for you when choosing your healthcare, imagine how certain they will be when they choose what your doctor can and can't do for you. Republicans are fighting for you, but we need your support to hold Pelosi and her puppets accountable for taking choice away from you. Supporting the NRCC as we work to hold Democrats accountable for turning their backs on their constituents is the only way to ensure you are not treated like second class citizens. If you want your voice heard in Congress you must retire Speaker Pelosi, Eric Massa and every other Democrat that puts your interests and welfare second. The only way to stop government-run healthcare is to run Democrats out of government. Thank you, Guy Harrison, Executive Director P.S. Forty seats is all House Republicans need to return Congress to the people. We can't do it alone. Every dollar you donate will go towards educating the public on Democrats true intentions. Together, let's stop government-run healthcare by running Democrats out of government.
