If your masters vote that you should work the fields so that everyone can have enough food, does that make enslavement ok since it cuts down on hunger? If your neighbors vote that you should be required to mow everyones lawn on the street, does that "democracy" make it ok? If ANY majority votes to take away the rights and resources of a minority, does that make it OK? No mans time or resources should be TAKEN by majority vote. Democratic voting does not turn immorality into morality and does not turn theft into virtue.
