Get rid of government highways and government highway funding. Government 
highways work very well if there are no problems, but there is a problem every 
day. Riding on government highways these days is like going to the post office 
or the DMV.

If highways were privately owned, I think the major problem that would be 
addressed is  traffic delays. Time is money, and competing roads would 
advertise their "on-time" superiority. Many technological advances could be 
brought to bear to eliminate traffic delays. I will not speculate on what such 
advances might be. I will leave that to the inventors and entrepreneurs who 
have their own money at stake.

If I or any small group of people could know what innovations the free market 
would develop, we wouldn't need the free market and communism would have worked.
