"Litmus test libertarians"? Are those libertarians who actually apply a test of principles? I can't find anything on Root's site that address the basic principles under which he operates. I'm sorry but he just strikes me as a salesman rather than a politician. Not that salesmen are bad but you don't ELECT them!
